Kang Jiwoong’s solo exhibition explores photography beyond representation.
His works treat images as mutable surfaces—
transferred onto linen, leather, and wood,
then transformed through water, light, and time.
Through soaking, folding, exposure, and erosion,
the images drift away from their original form,
leaving behind traces shaped by both intention and environment.
ROART participated in the transportation and installation,
ensuring each work was handled with precision and care
to preserve its intended material condition.
[Highlights]
• Experimental approach to photography as material
• Interaction between image, environment, and time
• Surfaces shaped by accumulation and transformation
Experience how images shift, erode, and persist
between presence and disappearance.
