The solo exhibition 《Deserted Island 》 by artist Kang Hong-goo is being held at Yeosu Expo Art Gallery from today, June 5, until August 17!
This special exhibition, themed around "islands," is planned to celebrate the successful hosting of the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo.

This exhibition is centered around about 40 works featured in Kang Hong-goo’s essay collection Deserted Island .

You can explore pieces that reflect the artist’s daydreams and memories from the islands of the southern coast, as well as experiences from his hometown and childhood dreams.

Especially noteworthy is that, beyond a simple exhibition of artworks, the artist has undertaken a structural experiment by physically unfolding the medium of the "book" within the exhibition space!

Visitors can carry booklet-style exhibition guides and freely move through the space to enjoy the artworks. It will give you a unique experience as if stepping inside the pages of a book.
